meet...

...the Smoking Lamb
Yesterday we had some kind of an Easter auction at work - anyone could make up an Easter egg and enter the bidding scheme :)
But it wasn't all just for fun - the money is going for charity, which is a preety cool thing to do.
Above you can see the BURP version of an egg - yes, there's an egg inside, only a candle one. (I'm preety clumsy, so the "real thing" would have been broken by now in my hands :P)
I hope you like it. And have a great Easter vacation everyone!

wanna...

...join the circus?

These little guys have come over the BURP office to preach the joy of being in the circus. The 2 Clown Bears have been on the road since they were 3 years old - and loving it! They travel the world and meet new people all the time. And what's most important, they don't fel like having a job - it's always fun fun fun.

EARRINGS - price 20 RON

voila...

...le malade imaginaire

(brooches)

With Easter being so close, all the lambs in the BURP office suddenly became "sick". You know, they just don't wanna...err...become F O O D. So they began to invoke headaches, stomach pains, dizziness and many other things. See Little Sick Boy above, chewing on his thermometer and being "feverish".
"A super-sick herd?", we thought. "It's kinda' strange...".
So we got them a nurse. Sheep Nurse.

"Well, now, you're not sick at all!", Sheep Nurse remarked, looking at the Little Sick Boy. Then she took the others one by one and put them on the go, as they were completely healthy. See? You can't play tricks on Sheep Nurse! And btw, little kiddiez, did you REALLY think we'd use our BURP lambs for Easter cooking?

even good friends can sometimes...

(BURPmarks)

...be less than good
We know that's some crazy news, but hey, this is life. Seriously now, here's an example, so you'll know what I'm talking about.
The Little Pig Who Smoked Pot and Model Cat have known each other for sooo long. Let's say...8 years. And they were best friends all the way. Until one day, when Model Cat decided not to speak to her pal again.
LPWSP didn't know why the Cat got upset, so he tried to find out. But the Cat wouln't speak to him anymore. Thing is, the Pig knew he had a big mouth and annoyed his friend by always buzzing around and speaking and being hype - but that was his personality, so he couldn't change. But anyway, Model Cat wouldn't change her mind.
That's when the Pig started smoking pot. He thought a little "green" help would be useful and maybe lead him in the direction where he could find some truths about the Universe - and his friendship with Model Cat, of course.
But do you think it worked?
Later edit: Our friend Ana called Model Cat "kinky and funny", plus she promised to only give her water for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So I guess the Model is hers :)

what about...

...some spring shopping?

Whoooah, hold your horses! And keep your money in your pocket, 'cause the third edition of My Grandma's Backyard is coming soon! When, you ask? On April 20th. Where? Same cool place - La Scena (that's in Bucharest, 55 Calea Calarasilor Str.). Why? Because it's Easter in a few weeks, you guys!

Trinnie gave us the lowdown on what's going to happen in there, so here it is: the fair starts at 12 pm, at 4.30 pm George Enache will show his 08/09 autumn winter collection - "SCIENCE FASHION" and at 5.30 pm Dana Marijuana's concert will get everybody up and moving. The rest of the time, Acidulate will provide cool music for everybody and Alexandra aka Lucuchen will obviously be right there in the famous make-up corner.

If that's not enough for you, maybe a lucky draw in which you can win a designer outfit from George Enache will convince you.

And don't forget all the cool people you'll see in there: Loona de Krystal, Zasha, Kinga Varga, Naive Design, Now& Wow, Coca Zaboloteanu, Alien Ape Star, Eartricks, Diana Bobar, Dana Stefanoiu, Virginia Toma, Zona Zoster, NOKO, Save or Cancel, Sunnyday.ro, Chic not Chicken, Gabriela Ling, Anca Berzunteanu, Andreea Vaduva, Cristina Darie, Irina Moise, Mihaela Grigorescu, Silvia Timofte, Pikaciuka.

That's a fancy crowd, so you can't miss it!
Of course, we'll also bring our BURP kiddiez to the fair, 'cause they just looooove to mingle.

See you there!

P.S.: And to put you in the mood for the fair, here's a nice article Oana Botezatu wrote about My Grandma's Backyard in Evenimentul Zilei. Enjoy!

fancy a bunch of...

...bears?

Pajama Bear can’t stand mornings; he always goes out wearing his PJs, because he's too tired to dress in something else. Besides, it's way easier to go back to bed - when he gets home, he jumps right in and starts snoring.
On the other hand, his brother, Office Bear, wakes up at 6 o’clock to go to work and loves it. Work. Love. Hey what's wrong with you?
We think only Playful Bear is sane among the 3 of them: he just loves to play and play – all day long. Yeah...playing's the way to do it!

dress...

...for success :)
This is the Owl with Glam Bikinis. Once a wire dancer (she exercised a lot on the forest branches), she’s now without a job.
But a few days ago she saw an ad in the newspaper, calling for “exotic dancers” - and that made her buy this lovely pair of bikinis. She obviously wants to impress the jury.
Wish her luck – she’s off to the casting!

non-stop eating...

...in the forest

- 85 cm -

Our little Ice-Cream Bear was caught red handed! This morning, as we woke up, we found him in the kitchen, head in the fridge, licking all the ice-cream he could find. Raspberry, Banana, Chocolate, Lemon…everything went straight to his belly.
We know he’s got a bad case of bulimia, but this is over the top!
Now, we thought our friend Ana would take care of his addiction, but guess what? She's stocking up on ice-cream to welcome this little food maniac! Oh, well...who are we to impose any rules?

we need a good doctor...

Freudian Rabbit (64 cm)

Smallpox Rabbit (70cm)
...and soon!

Smallpox Rabbit went to kindergarten one day and he came back with his cute face and ears all full of pimples and blisters. Hey, little guy, remember we said education was bad for you? :)

Anyhow, we had to fix the problem. So we tried to get some help from the Freudian Rabbit, who did his best to exorcise the disease through hypnosis.
But judging after those small but green pimples on his face, we think he hasn't done such a great job…
P.S.:anyhow, the Freudian Rabbit is now leaving for Constanta, where our friend Andra promised to take care of his little philosophical head.

no need for skool...

...to be cool
Once upon a time, there was a Biker Giraffe. But he wasn't born that way. No, no...
As a teenager, he was pretty bulky - and had a big belly, too. So his brothers and sisters told him to leave the herd. Moreover, his spots were blue - there was no way he could fit in!
Therefore, he left on unknown roads and tried to find his place in the world.
One day, he met an old biker on a highway - his hair in the wind, hands on the horns, looking rugged and cool. The Giraffe wanted to be exactly like that, so he bought himself a pair of big sunglasses. But he still needed sumthin': "a leather costume", he thought.
Still, there was something missing.
Oh, yeah. A Harley. The day he bought his own, he felt like a king - and didn't need to be recognized as a giraffe anymore.

playing...

...all day long
Wide Eyes, Marylin and Freckles are really really cute. They love to play with their dolls and with the other BURP kiddies, but they hate boys.
In fact, they hate them so much, they get a nasty rash on their hands and feet each time they see one of them. But everything's in their heads, obviously.
And one day, Bravy decided to prove that. So he dressed up as a rabbit to fool them and infiltrate in ther play group.
Of course, the girls thought he was one of the long-eared specimens and accepted him. They played and they played - and everything seemed to be just fine. Until Bravy took off his rabbit hoodie...and started laughing at them.
The girls fainted at this sight - they just couldn't believe they'd been fooled!
But now they've recovered and it seems they like boys. A lot. Bravy even payed them a visit while they were in hospital...and they jumped on him!!!
Talk about a change of attitude...
