the naughties & you.

NY's coming. Nope, not New York, although a winter trip there isn't the worst of ideas, either :P

This time we're talking about the New Year - so get your resolutions ready :)

Our wishes to you are pretty common, really. We'd like you to be happy and have the best of everything.

Oh, and The Naughties above have a special message, as well. In a pretty choir, of course :)

They want you to get a thrill in every little thing. And to do stuff you never thought you'd do. And to mix water and fire, just to see what happens :) And maybe wake up every morning feeling like you're going to have fun, even if it's yet another day at work. And don't forget to challenge things that don't seem right. And even though it's plain obvious a new year is on its way, hope you

neverneverneverneverneverneverneverneverneverneverneverGROWup :)

Big kiss.

so predictable.

You probably don't know this, but once X-mas is over, the Angel Girl gets rid of her wingy-good-girl costume and goes out looking for a New Year's Eve dress. And it needs to be smokin' hot!!

Do you do the same? :)

jingle bells.

Here's BURP's Christmas present from Ioana: pics with her baby sister - Miki - wearing the Angel Girl earrings.

She also wrote us a very beautiful email that made us realize we're so lucky to have met so many friends through BURP.

And if others don't see BURP's big achievements in market share or stuff like that, we agree :)

But we want to tell them that we feel we've achieved a lot more than that :) And our friends, our feelings and our adventures with BURP will always count more in our book.

sparkles.

Although he has a mission (packing the gifts :P) and he hasn't finished the work yet, this lil' Veteran Christmas Dog took a short break just to wish you all the best.

Santa let all his reindeers go this season (because of the economy, you know...) and all he could afford was this Veteran Dog. He's cheaper than a bunch of Rudolphs & Prancers & Blitzers, so there you go :)

So he's Santa's helper this year.

That's why he wanted to personally say "Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year Ever!", so we agreed to let him write it down (under strict supervision, of course:)).

Hoping you'll have a happy holiday - and come back here from time to time, 'cause the kiddiez never stop :)

Enjoy the snow, presents, friends, family, good food and great adventures.

worldwide cat party.

BURP kiddiez told us to say "Happy B-day" to Kitten - so we did :)

We hope she's having a big party and feeling great.

Sending a big snowy kiss - it will probably reach her on the beach somewhere :)

crittures of comfort.

Whenever the holidays are approaching, one gets to see a lot of people running around and creating panic & chaos. "I HAVE to get X a present", "Where the hell can I find that book for Y?", "One more to go and I can go home and relax for a while" - this is what we get to hear when people tick friends & family off the list.

When did Christmas become a must-do-have to-need-to thing? Is it because we're all grown-up now? Remember when you were a kid? It was REALLY COOL. When the first snow came, the only thing you HAD TO do was bundle up and go play. For a really long time. Even longer. Yes, longer than that, too. Pretty much until Santa came down the chimney and made you one happy kiddo.

So what has changed? Why do we get grumpy and frowny and stressed nowadays? We don't HAVE TO do anything - except the things we love to do. So yes, making presents is a wonderful thing. But it should be seen as such, not as an obligation of some sort.

That being said, don't worry because you've only got a few days 'till Christmas and you haven't bought any presents. Don't empty the shelves and your pockets just because "X only gets expensive gifts". And don't push people on the street in order to be the first one that gets into that store.

Be calm, be happy and the perfect gift will show itself to you. Enjoy the process, as they say. The result will obviously be extraordinary.

brunch.

Little Dino seems to be on the run, doesn't he?
Well, he's rushing home to eat, that's why.

The Veteran Dog got stolen and will probably become Dino's dinner or something.

Yummy :)

time to remember.

Somehow, Simona thinks opening emails from our friends is a scary thing :) We're writing this post to tell her it isn't - in fact, it's just the opposite :))

(We should tell you that now, after 3 years on this BURP planet, the kiddiez still rush to open the email first thing in the morning, even before washing their eyes or drinking their coffee, but we won't, 'cause it sounds so lame... :P )

Anyhow, she was a darling and sent us this cute pic of her at the office X-mas party - with a 90's theme :) Seeing her wear the Sleepy Bunny belt made our day.

And we totally stole the other pic of her & Cristina, another lovely girl who became our friend this year. To tell you the truth, this was a very difficult year, but a really great one in terms of befriending beautiful people and getting inspired to carry on.

So this is a "thank you" post for all of you who make our days.

hole-i-day.

The Veteran Dog wants to visit his Tirolese brother this winter.

He's the kind of guy (ooops, dog) that always plans ahead and makes a well-thought schedule for every vacation he takes.

What's your trip-style? Are you a careful planner as well or do you go with the flow? :)

music club & the gang.

Ioana sent us a pic with her & the girls - and, of course, a little BURP belt :)

You know we love getting photos of people who enjoy wearing the stuff we make. And Ioana is a very special BURP friend. Oh, and a bear lover, too. And that is what every dictionary will spell out as "perfect" :)

:X

in search of X-mas spirit.

pic credit Alex Icodin

Our friend Alex got mad at the Bunny Girl and sent us this picture of her gone crazy.
He burned her hair and put some reindeer horns over her ears. OK, maybe we deserved that - yesterday we were complaining about getting some Christmas spirit ASAP, when it should've already been there. Right? :)

Do you have yours with you? Or still waiting for it, too?

paper hats every now and then.

Today, the BURP kiddiez realized they've been offline way too long :)
Work, you know the story. But we're back :) Still working, though.

Anyway, we're thinking of asking you guys a question - and offering a prize to the loveliest of answers. You'll get a Santa Special after X-mas gift if you tell us about...your city :D

The idea is that we're getting used to living in cities that don't really represent us anymore - or never have, in places that are just a big pile of things we don't really like/understand or care for. So that's why people rush on the streets, swear and shout at each other, push you and step on your feet, look like they're running to some place they hate and dread the thought of looking up and smiling around.

So we're thinking that everybody has an image of the perfect city in mind - how does it look? What's its name? Where can we find it? We're hoping you'll be able to tell us - leave a comment below and...who knows? Maybe you'll win :)

Best of luck XOXO
Comments are welcome until the 1st of January 2010 :)

wild thing.

Or is it "wild thong"? :)
We don't know - still, it's a fact that this sheep likes to go wild from time to time. Now being that time :)

this is how we roll.

When we're not working, we're having fun @ Sala Dalles with Andreea, Cosmina and Ramona.
It's some kind of a make-plans-tell-a-story-eat-chocolate-candies-and-Christmas-cookies-plus-yummy-salads day that keeps on repeating itself.
A really tiresome experience, but lovely when you think about it after you've taken a break :)
See you there. XOXO

the most fun fun you can have with your belt on.

Either girls named Simona love to have fun - or the BURP belts make them do it :)

We don't know what to say, but if you have an answer (or a theory on this :)), please share :D

We're offering you some proof of what we're saying:

Exhibit 1: Simona dancing with a guy and a pink hippo in love

Exhibit 2: another Simona, same fun, this time with a bearfrog

Exhibit 3: Simona again, rocking the colors

young pup.

In the '20s, the Veteran Dog was just a kiddo (well, he still is, brain-wise :)).

Back then, people [and dogs] they had this Christmas tradition of taking their families to the photographer and "immortalizing" the moment. As you can see, lace was used to decorate the photos - which were still something new and peculiar in some ways. We were thinking...nowadays people don't seem to cherish pictures as much as they did in those times.

When was the last time you looked at old family pictures and remembered those days & those people? See? Now might be a good time to do that.

thinking about it.

The Angel Girl has been good. Really good. We told you about the be-the-nicest-person-ever politics she adheres to.

Well, it's all because she wants to get lots of presents this year (she heard Santa only visits the good kids, so there you go:)).

What about you? We'd like to hear your story. Do you try to be good all year long or do you simply do nice stuff when December comes? :D

and that's why we love you.

Speechless :)

Cristina is one lovely young lady that's always cheerful and sweet and always makes us feel we have a purpose :) - BURP is happy to have such a friend.

Big hug.

c'mon, let's get high.

When the Veteran Dogs get bored, they smoke pot.

That's all we have to say :)
